Most construction dryers use dehumidification to address high levels of humidity and moisture on construction sites.

These force humid air through the unit and, either through a refrigerated evaporator coil (condensation) or an effective silica gel motor (adsorption), they capture moisture from this process air and push dry air back into the space.

This consistently prevents humidity from exceeding uncomfortable levels, and actively removes moisture from wet materials, such as concrete or plaster, so they set faster.

Adsorption dryers (or desiccant dryers) use desiccant materials, such as silica gel, to attract moisture from humid air streams. The process air is passed through a slowly rotating silica gel rotor. The wet air is ducted away from the room, and dry air is pushed back into the space instead.
