- The highest standard of container cooling – The AC-M10 is built for extremes
Engineered in response to customer demands for climate control systems that deliver in extreme deployments.
Uncompromising climate control for the toughest deployments
Since 1984, Dantherm Group has supplied more than 35,000 HVAC units for tents and containers, trusted by defence forces, humanitarian organisations and infrastructure specialists across the globe; and every unit we’ve built carries a piece of our customers’ feedback with it.
The AC-M10 container cooler is no exception, and, building on decades of experience, it is the most capable A/C for containers yet – developed and manufactured by Dantherm.
We asked our customers (infrastructure contractors) and the end-users (the military) a simple question: What would the ideal climate system for containers look like for those working in the world’s toughest environments?
Here’s what they described as the perfect container cooler:
- A rugged, reliable unit that combines both cooling and heating
- A wide temperature span
- A system designed for easy transport and rapid deployment
- A worry-free solution no matter where the mission leads
- Long-term durability, built to perform continuously, even in remote or hostile environments
- Optionable remote monitoring and control
And so, that’s what we built.

Proven performance from -51 °C to +60 °C
Built for defence, disaster relief, field hospitals, electronics cooling, and mobile command centres, the AC-M10 performs seamlessly across the globe, from the hottest to the coldest climate zones.
The AC-M10 delivers the optimal climate in every scenario:
- Servers produce heat and need cooling even in sub-zero temperatures
- Personnel need a very precise comfort temperature to stay focused, regardless of the outside temperature.
In the harsh tropical climate of Northern Australia, the AC-M10 has run uninterrupted for six months straight, proving its unmatched durability.
Its arctic variant further expands its range, offering cooling from -51 °C to +60 °C and heating from -51 °C to +20 °C operating temperatures.
Extended capabilities: 10 kW cooling
Compared to its predecessor, the AC-M10 offers double the capacity, delivering 10 kW of cooling and 5 kW of heating. This enhanced performance enables its wide operating temperature range.
Additional features include:
- A scroll compressor for high reliability and low noise
- Two-speed selector for the internal fan
- Air filtration system for recirculated air within the shelter
These features take into account that the indoor climate is a complex matter that also encompasses noise level and air quality. A cooling unit that sacrifices other parts of the climate control would not serve its purpose well.
Designed for quick and easy deployment: Window-type design
In mobile missions, space and speed are everything. That’s why the AC-M10 is built for easy integration with container infrastructure:
- The window-type design allows it to be safely stored inside the container during transport, saving external space and protecting the unit.
- Once deployed, the unit slides into place through a trapdoor, taking up only 25 cm of space inside the container.
- The cooling unit has been tested against vibration and mechanical shock
- It features full CBRN/COLPRO compliance, as well as compliance with EMC military standard
The logistical features of the cooling unit help enhancing the overall resilience of the infrastructure. The cooler must not be the weak link that makes the chain break.

Remote monitoring and control
With Modbus remote control, mission control can monitor and adjust the unit in real time, ensuring comfort and equipment safety without direct on-site management.
Built on experience
Developed in close collaboration with end-users, the AC-M10 reflects Dantherm’s long-standing experience and consolidates the company as a benchmark in mobile climate control. Its robust performance and practical features make it a dependable solution for containerised operations in demanding environments.
