A condensation dehumidifier, also known as a refrigerant dehumidifier, removes excess moisture from the air in any environment. This keeps humidity levels optimal for all people, animals, goods and more within a space.
These industrial and commercial dehumidifiers work by drawing humid air across a refrigerated coil. When the air hits this cold surface, it is rapidly cooled below its dew point, causing it to condense. The cool, dry air is reheated by the latent heat energy generated during condensation and returned to the room.
In most settings, relative humidity should be kept below 60%RH to prevent rust, mold and other effects of excess humidity. Furthermore, RH levels between 50% and 60% maintain healthy conditions for people inside buildings.
