- Quick installation and clever features – the RCV Medium residential ventilation units deliver both
The new Dantherm RCV Medium range has been developed to make residential ventilation installation simpler, faster, and more predictable. Whether you work in newbuilds, renovations, or apartments with limited technical space, the RCV Medium range adapts to almost any layout.
The units are ideal for installers, HVAC professionals, type house companies, and residential ventilation specialists who need maximum installation flexibility with minimal complexity.
Three models – two types of counter-flow heat exchangers
The RCV Medium range has three models, RCV 480 P1-CF, RCV 640 P2-CF and RCV 480 E2-CF. They share a range of features, including the following:
Key features
• Compact size for tight installation spaces
• 32 mirrored and modular duct connection options
• Plug-and-play design, factory-prepared for wall mounting
• Fast calibration with Dantherm PC Tool
• Durable EPS insulation and galvanised casing
• Tested for ambient installation temperatures down to –12°C
• Easy maintenance access and tool-free filter changes
RCV 480 P1-CF and RCV 640 P2-CF offer different performance, but are both fitted with an efficient counter-flow heat exchangers made from plastic, offering low pressure loss, great sound reduction, high air output and excellent thermal efficiency.
In contrast, the RCV 480 E2-CF uses our enthalpy counter-flow heat exchanger which offers a number of unique advantages compared to other types of counter-flow heat exchangers. By transferring humidity from the extract air to the supply air, the enthalpy exchanger prevents drying out of the indoor climate during the winter. In the summer, it removes humidity from the supply air. This way, the enthalpy exchanger maintains an optimal indoor air humidity throughout the year, thereby avoiding drying out and humidity issues.

Patent-pending Constant Flow
The new RCV Medium range features Dantherm Group’s unique constant flow function that utilises a patent-pending design which precisely maintains mass balance regardless of variations in static pressure, temperature and humidity.
Redoing existing ductwork is no fun
With mirrored duct connections and 32 possible configurations, the unit supports left- or right-hand routing without changing parts or modifying the project design. Two setups are built into one unit, allowing airflow direction to be switched electronically during commissioning.

Plug and play delivery
The RCV Medium range is delivered ready to mount with all essential components installed. Plug-and-play controls, easy front access, and tool-free filter replacement help reduce time on site. Final calibration is handled quickly using the Dantherm PC Tool. The EPS-insulated and galvanised casing ensures reliable operation, even in colder environments down to –12°C.
For homeowners, the RCV Medium range delivers clean, filtered air with heat-recovery efficiency above 90%. Humidity-based demand control, free-cooling and summer bypass modes, and a dedicated fireplace boost function support a comfortable indoor climate with low energy use.
