A smarter approach to climate and moisture measurement

T4000 series1

Accurate climate and moisture measurement is a cornerstone of professional building diagnostics, water damage assessment and wood processing. The T4000 series has been developed to support these tasks with a new generation of handheld measuring tools designed for building inspectors, engineers and wood specialists who require reliable data across a wide range of applications.

Typical use cases include moisture mapping in walls and floors, monitoring drying processes, assessing screed readiness, evaluating indoor climate conditions and performing moisture measurements in timber and wood-based materials.

The T4000 series comprises three individual measuring devices:

  • The T4000 multifunctional meter
  • The T670 capacitive moisture meter (material moisture)
  • The T220 climate meter (temperature and air humidity)

Each device can be used as a stand-alone solution, allowing users to select the tool that best matches their typical measurement tasks. At the same time, the series is built around a shared technological platform, offering consistent operation, data handling and sensor compatibility.

At the centre of the range is the T4000 multifunctional meter

Building on the proven capabilities of its predecessor, the T3000, it combines climate measurement and multiple moisture measurement methods in a single device. Depending on the connected sensor, the T4000 supports:

  • Resistive moisture measurement using electrodes
  • Non-destructive capacitive surface measurement
  • Microwave depth measurement (non-destructive)
  • Comprehensive climate analysis including temperature, relative humidity and dew point

This makes it a practical alternative to carrying several specialised instruments on site.

A key feature of the T4000 is its modular SDI sensor system. Sensors are easily interchangeable with a new quick-connect system and are automatically recognised by the device, enabling fast adaptation to changing measurement requirements.

Backward compatibility with existing T3000 sensors further protects previous investments and simplifies upgrades or device replacement.

Enhanced memory and data management

The T4000 series also places strong emphasis on documentation and data management. Internal memory and a microSD card allow long-term logging and structured archiving of measurement data, while Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless integration with the MultiMeasure Mobile app. The app supports advanced data analysis, visualisation of moisture and heat distribution, photographic documentation and report generation, helping users communicate results clearly and efficiently.

Extended app capabilities:

  • Data logging and visualisation
  • Link data from multiple connected sensors for advanced analysis
  • Take photos and save the data with the photo
  • Generate coloured matrix views to visualise moisture or heat distribution
  • Assign measured data to specific projects and clients
  • Share data with colleagues across different locations

Use cases and applications

Typical applications for the T4000 series include moisture mapping in walls and floors, monitoring drying processes, assessing screed readiness, evaluating indoor climate conditions and performing moisture measurements in timber and wood-based materials. The combination of specialised sensors and comprehensive data handling makes the series suitable for both routine inspections and complex diagnostic tasks.

Application examples:

  • Building diagnostics
  • Water damage restoration
  • Wood trade and processing
