Simplify Sensor Probe – indoor air quality
Simplify Sensor Probe – Indoor Air Quality is part of the Simplify solution. The probe is measuring the quality of the air using TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compounds) in the unit μg/m³ (microgram/m³).
The probe is designed for monitoring indoor air quality (IAQ) by detecting Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC). Both TVOC and the more familiar gas carbon dioxide (CO2 ) are among the factors in IAQ, and both are emitted by humans. Since CO2 is better understood by the general public than TVOC, the Simplify Sensor Probe – Indoor Air Quality comes with a method of estimating CO2 . The correlation between TVOC and the CO2 - concentration has been investigated for indoor environments and implemented in algorithm libraries.
The probe will adjust to the local indoor air climate in two steps. First 10 minutes a calibration is performed to background levels. After the calibration the probe will be fully acclimatized after 48 hours. Total analysis of the indoor air quality is visualized on a IAQ scale from 0 to +5, where 0 indicates extremely good indoor air quality and +5 indicates bad indoor air quality.
The IAQ scale is defined according to UBA (The German Environment Agency). Third party reports available on request.

Installation

The Simplify Sensor Probe – Indoor Air Quality is part of the Simplify solution. It is connected to the Simplify Sensor Box to measure indoor air quality (TVOC – Total Volatile Organic Compounds) and eCO2.

The Simplify Sensor Box is automatically powered ON, when the probe is connected.

The probe is connected to the Simplify Sensor Box via a mini DIN connector.
