Potable water storage for domestic use
Calorex domestic water chiller units are equipped with cupronickel WRAS approved heat exchangers. This means that you can connect this chiller directly in line with the potable water giving you a more efficient and much simpler installation.
With the installation of a water chiller it will keep your storage tank water cool and always below 20°C to prevent the growth of legionella bacteria.

Cold-water treatments and water chillers
Whether you are a professional footballer, athlete or keen sports person, cold-water immersion has become a very popular treatment method for repairing muscles and speeding up recovery from injuries.
Cold-water treatments have been used for thousands of years all over the world to maintain physical health. Improving blood circulation and the immune system, the treatments make for healthy skin and hair and improve your energy level.
Water chillers maintain a steady water temperature in your plunge pool. The chemical resistant cupro-nickel material of the heat exchangers and the use of R134a refrigerant means that Calorex chillers can be connected directly to the pool water circuit and chill the water to 10°C. Moreover, the weatherproof design gives you a range of indoor and outdoor installation options.

Sometimes, water for this kind of application needs to be lower than 10°C, occasionally as low as 4°C. Similar temperatures are sometimes required in some commercial and industrial processes. In those cases, the chillers can be connected in line with a stainless steel plate heat exchanger, and then connected to the water. This allows you to apply a glycol mix enabling the chillers to deliver the required temperatures.
